You Are Harming The Environment Everyday Without Realising It. Here's How To Stop It.

I wrote this story for CLEO Singapore, an online media platform dedicated to creating content for women in their 20s. This story was written to be a part of CLEO's "Sustainability" section, where they were sharing how to lead a sustainable life.

To cater to this section, I pitched an idea of a story where we explain to readers how their everyday actions make an impact on the environment and what they can do to change that.

I fully wrote the in-depth story, interviewed WWF Singapore for more insight, and I did the research. To this date, it's a story that I'm especially proud of writing, as it allowed me to learn more about how to write for the magazine industry and it also gave me the opportunity for an interview.

I also wrote this story for CLEO Singapore, but this time it was written for the release of Netflix's The Half Of It.

For this story, I was given the opportunity to interview Alice Wu, the director, and Leah Lewis, who stars in the movie. I had to prep the questions, interview the newsmakers, and then write the story.

The article has since been viewed over 500 times by CLEO readers, and it's one of my favourite stories that I've written so far. It gave me the opportunity to prep and actually conduct an industry interview, and it also allowed me to learn how to write for interview stories, and how to angle it in a way so that readers get intrigued to watch the movie.

In year 1, I had the opportunity to be a part of a PR project, where my team members and I created a video for Watsons' "Boomerang Employee" series, which aimed to showcase employees who left and then re-joined Watsons. For this project, I took on multiple roles, including being a scriptwriter and camerawoman.

Given that I was still in Year 1 during the course of this project, I had little to no experience with actual video shoots for industry projects. However, with the help of my team members and my mentors, I was able to successfully play my part as an effective team member, and the video was eventually posted on Watsons' LinkedIn page. To this day, it is one my proudest achievements in Republic Polytechnic.

This photo essay was done during a service-learning project to Batam. In this project, I took on the role of a writer and photographer; capturing moments between the Republic Polytechnic (RP) students and the children from Yayasan Dunia Viva Wanita.

The photos in this essay encapsulate the joyous moments of the service-learning project - the cheerful interactions, the glowing smiles, and pure candid happiness.

It was the first time I had ever attempted to do such a photo essay, and despite it being my first attempt, I am extremely proud of how it turned out. After completion, this photo essay was then distributed to the School of Engineering (SEG) in RP, to give a recap as to what occured during the service-learning project.

Along with a peer, I was given the opportunity to write a story on an iconic food stall that was running in Republic Polytechnic; Coal 3606.

The story delved into the owner's history with the stall and its humble beginnings. Though short and concise, the story was able to show off my flair for writing

Together with my partner, we interviewed, took photographs, and wrote the story, which then went on to get published in RP's newsletter, The Republican Post, and Sayang Sembawang.

In my second year as a Republic Polytechnic student, a couple of my schoolmates and I decided to sign up for a pitching competition together - NUS' Pitch It!

Together, we created a campaign where we aimed to emulate the feeling of friendship between the consumer and the brand, so as to provide a better sense of familiarity, which would then lead to more people signing up for the rewards program.
